There is something for everyone at Hamilton City Libraries. With more than 400,000 items on offer, we provide you with access to a great range of books, DVDs, CDs, archives, magazines, newspapers. From our website you can also search online newspaper and journal articles.

Borrowable items are issued free to members for 28 days (excluding magazines, CDs, DVDs and best sellers which are issued for 7 days). An item normally stays at the library where it was returned until it is borrowed again. New stock thus moves around the libraries, ensuring that each library has a constantly changing and updated collection

Garden Place Library, housing the main reference and Heritage collections
